Let’s Talk: When You’re Shamed For Your Past

Everyone has done things they’re not proud of. Unless you have some type of anti-social personality disorder. And the only thing worse than having a shameful past is being shamed because you’re constantly reminded of your past by people who are just as broken and twisted as you used to be.

I could tell you that everything would be perfect and just fine if you shut people down and silence them when they do this. But that’s really only addressing the surface issue. At the root of this issue is how YOU really feel about your past. And the only way to make peace with how you feel about your past is how to acknowledge, accept and do the work to heal any toxic emotions that are causing you pain and shame.
