No More Rumors of Faith

Hebrews 10:21 – 22, NLT “And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water”

I came across a video of one of my favorite authors, Michelle McKinney Hammond. She mentioned this scripture and I felt God telling me I was well past the phase of only knowing Him by rumors of faith. You know…the things other people have to tell you about God’s power and miracles because you’re not so sure about the presence of either of those 2 things in your life.

I was having a conversation with someone a day or so ago and found myself telling them when it came to following God I’d go where He wanted me to because I didn’t have anything to lose. By the world’s standards, yes I do. But as a single woman who has been kept by the grace of God I don’t. God has been calling me quite loudly lately and I fully intend to comply.

I came across this video and was challenged to think well beyond my current status as a single.

God wants us to desire His vision for the families He will birth from our unions with the husbands He has for us. I watched these young men singing their hearts out about how God loves them. They got silly at the end, but you could still see their love for God. I was reminded of Hannah who ensured the Lord that her boychild would be dedicated to God for his whole life. Her words came to pass. As one of God’s singles, I declare today that my family will be one unit dedicated to the Lord my God.

How God loves me is something I cannot understand. Yet I need it more than life itself.
