Body Temple Tips: Quick Recipes

The Bible tells us that our body is a temple. But if you’re like me with usually very little time to prepare food that you actually like (which is a shame because I can actually throw down in the kitchen!), you stand the risk of eating too much take out and yes (gasp) McDonald’s.

So what’s a busy, single girl to do?

I’m glad you asked because I have some healthy, tasty, quick recipes that I’d like to share with you that take usually less than 30 minutes to prepare and cook. And if they don’t…they’re crock pot meals that still take very little time on your part to actually tend to and preparation.

This week’s recipe is “Turkey Rice with Vegetables”Healthy Recipe Turkey Rice with Vegetables

Ingredients:
1 pound ground turkey
2-4 cups white or brown rice (depending on how much rice you like)
Spices: Ground black pepper, ground garlic, powder, ground onion powder (2-3 tablespoons each), sea salt
(1 tablespoon/to taste)

Instructions:
Put all spices in a frying pan with ground turkey and cook until done
Cook rice in a separate pot (after cooking for 1 minute drain the starch off and cook in fresh water, you can  also add 1tsp olive oil and 1/2 cup of chicken broth to enhance final flavor)
Once rice and meat is done, combine in frying pan and simmer for 5 minutes, add more spices (except salt)
to taste

For vegetables, purchase steamable bags and cook according to instructions, then add your choice and season to taste

Enjoy and tell me if it was quick, easy to make and tasty!
