I know…as a single Christian women, you’re taught that a man is the leader of the family unit. And they are. That’s why God gave Adam (not Eve) the command to “be fruitful and multiply”. But God also created Eve to be Adam’s helper – suitable and “just right” for Adam. So I have no qualms about a man being the head of the household, because I know that as the women, that means we’re the neck. And as the neck – that means we can turn the head in any direction we so choose!

But back to the subject of this post…would your dream man follow you to God? Meaning…

… if the man for you watched you for a day, a few weeks, or even months, would He be able to see the Spirit of God alive in your life and want more of God because of what he saw?

I’ll tell you how I came to that question. I spent a year in Djibouti, Africa. It was hands down the worst but best year of my life. The deaths of two men in my life and the living conditions were the things God used to break me down and build me back up. As a result, I was a bit withdrawn and unaware of what all was going on around me. But that didn’t mean that some of the men I came into contact with didn’t notice me. One told me one day that he wanted to approach me long before he did, but I seemed to serious. Another one (who I didn’t even run into until a few weeks ago) told me he remembered me – and I had no clue who he was! I told another woman about what happened with the latter situation and she said “Well, even still…you managed to make an impression on him!” In fact, just today I noticed one watching me and struck up a friendly conversation – which ended in a new professional contact and an invitation to church!

Ladies, men WATCH us – whether they’re interested or something about us just catches their eye.

Some say it’s because they’re hunters, predators. But honestly, I think it’s just how God wired them. And if it is, be sure to give them a show – a Holy Spirit show, that is – that let’s them know Whose you are! Or, at the very least gives them reason to approach you so you can tell them Who you belong to. When you’re living on purpose, you don’t miss a beat because you know Who you belong to, what His agenda for your life is, and how to enjoy life through living on purpose.
