Transitions to the Future

Jeremiah 29:11, MSG: “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.”

I get in my own way. A lot. Thank God He finally gave me the vision to see this. Or maybe I should say I finally opened my eyes to this. Now I can see that my prayers and the prayers of others are answered in regards to my life and my future. Now I can see that my prayers for my loved ones, people I meet, friends and everyone in between are important to the Lord. Now I can see that God truly is a forgiving God because despite how I get in my own way and make mistakes, He still works to make sure HIS plan for my life prevail.

The Bible tells us only some evil spirits come out by fasting AND praying. I believe that applies to situations in your life too. I can’t reveal all the details at this time – I wish I could – because of my duty to the military. But I will say that believers here on my camp (myself included) have faced some serious spiritual attacks and tragedies in this past month alone. It would have been so easy for us to just accept what we were handed and say nothing else could be done. But I decided to do something I’ve never really done before – to stop fighting in the natural and start fighting and praying in the spirit. When it was over God claimed the victory in our lives.

Going into a new fast, I’m asking God to change ME so that I can transition into my future. The future HE has for me. As a single, as a citizen in His kingdom here on here, and as a member of whatever community I go to. It’s so easy to only ask God to change just your circumstances or the people you feel are attacking you. But I see now that God wants to change me (and you) too. So here’s to change. Transitions to the future. I’d like to do something a little different and pray with and for you:

“Lord, thank you for your forgiveness and for the opportunity to come directly to you because of the blood Christ shed for us on the cross. We pray that you forgive us for all sins known and unknown and that you help us to grow and be better everyday. Teach us how to put on the whole armor so that when all is done we can honestly say that we’ve done ALL we can to stand. Help us to focus on you during hard times so that we can learn what you want to change in us so that we can meet you in our destiny. This we pray in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen”
